Amana to American Standard 95%

This older Amana 90% furnace was done, and unfortunately for the sellers of the home it was time to have it replaced. But fortunately for the buyers the we are replacing the furnace.

In the picture above you see a nice wood sided wall, believe it or not it is removable and does hide the furnace very well, but is a major pain in the butt to service the unit.

Older Amana 90% Furnace

Once the wall was removed you could see the older Amana unit. What really struck me weird was the filter system was unaccessible because of the drain system located directly in front of the door.

New 95% American Standard Furnace

Above is the new American Standard 95% furnace installed in the same location, a base can was add to lift the furnace off the floor and then drain system was routed out of the right of the unit, this of coarse freed up access to the existing Honeywell filter system.
